The Bare Toed company was set up in 2001 to bring together the energy of three local movement artists who were keen to share skills, expertise and visions and so create new work. The artists - Lynn Campbell, Rachel Kurtz and Jo Templey weave together their wide experience in the fields of early years arts, developmental movement, community arts, dance and theatre performance, dance movement psychotherapy for families and children under five who have special needs and voice work/singing. The company have moved into an office in the new Dance City building and are very excited about new opportunities and possibilities. The Bare Toed Company specialise in movement play and dance with the early years. They offer: regular classes at Dance City, Alnwick Playhouse and the RVI sessions in schools, Sure Start programmes and playgroups comprehensive training programmes for teachers, other artists, parents     and early years practitioners input at conferences/symposiums Aerial dance performances weaving sensory images, dance and trapeze -     the performances are followed by a workshop for children, staff and parents -     everyone moves and plays and can have a go on the trapeze. The company are committed to offering opportunities to move, dance and play creatively and believe these opportunities are crucial to the holistic, healthy, thriving development of every child.
